The Coupe-Roadster Was The Sportiest Packard Twelve Of 1939

The Packard Motor Car Company was known for its engineering excellence, particularly in multi-cylinder engines. The 1939 Coupe-Roadster marked the end of an era as one of the final Packard Twelve models ever built. With its long hood, sleek silhouette, and exquisite craftsmanship, it was one of the most luxurious and sportiest vehicles available at the time.

The Return of the V-12 Engine

Packard first introduced its Twin Six V-12 engine in 1916. Although production ceased in 1923, the company revived the V-12 in 1932, renaming it the “Packard Twelve.” By 1933, the Packard Twelve had become a top-tier luxury car, known for its smooth power delivery and refined engineering. The 1939 model was the last year of production for this legendary engine.
